Worley and Advisian are excited to be attending ADIPEC 2019, held in Abu Dhabi from November 11-14.  Senior leaders from throughout our business, including CEO Andrew Wood, will join other leading decision makers, energy ministers, and global CEOs at this premier oil and gas event. 

This year's ADIPEC programming will focus on "Oil & Gas 4.0, a new agenda developed by both ADNOC and ADIPEC to navigate and embrace the opportunities enabled by the fourth industrial revolution."

Andrew Wood | CEO - Worley

Andrew WoodAndrew was appointed Chief Executive Officer of WorleyParsons Limited in 2012. Listed on the ASX, Worley is a leading global provider of professional project and asset services in the energy, chemicals and resources sectors. Worley operates in 51 countries and has a workforce of approximately 57,600 people. With tenure of 25 years with the Group, and over 35 years’ industry experience, Andrew has extensive knowledge across the Worley group of companies. His previous roles include Group Managing Director – Finance/CFO responsible for Group wide direction and support to the business functions of Finance, Information Management, Internal Procurement and Communications, Legal and Risk; Managing Director for the Australia / New Zealand region; Managing Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, overseeing 15 business acquisitions including Parsons E&C Corporation in November 2004 and The Colt Companies in March 2007. He was also responsible for WorleyParsons' early expansion into Thailand and the Middle East, Canada and Chile in his capacity as Managing Director for International Operations. Andrew holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering and Graduate Diplomas in Financial Management and Labour Management Relations. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, Australia.  

Geeta Thakorlal | President - Intecsea and SVP Director, Upstream, Midstream and LNG - Worley Group

Geeta ThakorlalGeeta was appointed President of Intecsea in July 2016 for Worley. Intecsea is a consulting business specializing in offshore and subsea developments with strong market share positions in key markets such as Gulf of Mexico, North West Shelf Australia. Malaysia, Russia, India, Egypt and Nigeria. Prior to her current appointments, she held a number of senior roles within Worley since joining in 2011.  She has over 25 years of management and professional services experience which have been in the international oil and gas sector, predominantly in upstream for greenfield and brownfield offshore and onshore projects. She has in-depth knowledge of leading businesses in a variety of roles and situations, spanning technical, commercial, and operational experience. 

Geeta has influential industry presence and has won awards demonstrating her commitment to championing women in leadership. In 2017, Geeta was a finalist in the Outstanding Business Leader in Energy category for Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards. She is also a member of the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) Executive Advisory Board.  Geeta earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in chemical and materials engineering from the University of Auckland. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia.

Balachandar Panneerselvam Study Manager - Advisian

Balachandar PanneerselvamBalachandar is a chemical engineer with over 17 years of experience in design, operation and troubleshooting in the upstream oil and gas, midstream and downstream fields. For the past 8 years, he has been working for Worley-Abu Dhabi and currently holds the role of Study Manager at Advisian, the global consultancy business of Worley. His area of core competency includes front end studies, full field development, gas processing and treatment, debottlenecking, energy optimisation, and design / troubleshooting of heat transfer equipment (fired heater, shell & tube exchanger and air cooler). He has began his career with Reliance Industries Limited, where he was involved in plant monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation and design of various refinery and petrochemical units. 

Tobias Roelofs R&D Coordinator and Senior Engineer - Comprimo®

Tobias RoelofsTobias is the R&D Coordinator and Sr. Engineer in the Comprimo® group within Advisian. His knowledge and experience spans the design and operation of several Sulphur Recovery technologies, having been involved in the design of new Sulphur Recovery Units, the revamping of existing facilities, and start-up work for a large natural gas plant. Since 2016, he has been responsible for the coordination and execution of R&D projects within Comprimo®,  which includes the analysis of on-site technical problems, client support, and improvement of existing and new technologies to extend the Technology Portfolio. New advancements require Tobias to work at the forefront of technological innovation as it applies not only to Comprimo® capabilities, but throughout the Sulphur Recovery industry.
