We worked with Viterra Inc. on the Closure and Restoration of two former fertilizer manufacturing facilities in Alberta.
Activities included supervision of site infrastructure dismantling/demolition and recycling of scrap materials where possible. We also characterized the environmental conditions, and developed short and long-term management and remediation strategies/plans including the design and construction of an industrial waste landfill facility.
To help streamline work and reduce project costs, we developed risk-based site specific remediation criteria supported by stakeholders and regulatory agency consultation.
Advisian developed all permit applications as well as submissions for public participation programs. A site closure report was prepared and a reclamation certificate was received from the regulatory authorities for the Medicine Hat facility.
