Technical assessment of chemical plant

The Challenge

IXOM approached Advisian for help with a technical assessment of a chemical plant they were considering. IXOM required an assessment of the condition of electrical and mechanical assets on the plant, and an overview of the capability, tools and systems set up to maintain the plant.

Our Approach

Advisian mobilised a small team of New Zealand-based Asset Management people with expertise in maintenance management of complex chemical plants. Advisian conducted a series of plant visits, interviews with current staff, and a review of supporting documentation in the maintenance management system.

The Results

IXOM learned about the condition and capability of the plant and the supporting organisation. The technical assessment of the plant helped IXOM during the subsequent organisation negotiations.
