Advisian Digital has launched in the Caribbean, making its first waves in Trinidad and Tobago.
Our Caribbean operation is proud to announce the award of three new Advisian Digital projects in Trinidad and Tobago:
1. The Evaluate Phase of Nu-Iron Unlimited’s Digital Transformation
2. Digital Transformation Assessment for Phoenix Park Gas Processors (PPGPL)
3. Digital Transformation Assessment for PCS Nitrogen (PCS)
Over the past 18 months, the Advisian Digital team has been educating key industry stakeholders about the benefits and economic wisdom of using technology as a lever to improve operational efficiency and maximize profits.
These recent awards closely follow the first ever Advisian Digital award in Trinidad – the WorleyParsons Caribbean Operation’s first Digital Maturity Assessment for Nu-Iron Unlimited, a division of the multinational steel giant Nucor Corporation and a producer of direct-reduced iron located in the Point Lisas Industrial Estate in central Trinidad.
The Advisian Digital team is comprised of: Jim Purvis – Director, Advisian Digital; Barrett Wendtland – Program Strategy Manager, Aerial Data Management; Nicholas Boodram – Data Consultant, Advisian Digital; and Anthony Holder – Business Development Specialist, WorleyParsons.
The key details of these three new projects are outlined below.
Caribbean Digital Transformation Initiatives
Nu-Iron Unlimited
Advisian Digital entered the Caribbean market with an award for the Digital Maturity Assessment phase of Nu-Iron Unlimited’s Digital Transformation project. Phase 2 of Nu-Iron’s transformation (Evaluate) was awarded in early February 2018, and began mid-February.
Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited (PPGPL)*
Initial discussions with PPGPL were based on the delivery of a standard Digital Maturity Assessment as a first step on their journey to Digital Transformation. However, the RFP that was eventually issued entitled Process Safety Information Management Systems Gap Analysis, provided a specific focus on identifying opportunities for improvement of the Process Safety Information Management Systems (PSIMS) while executing the Digital Maturity Assessment.
PCS Nitrogen Trinidad Limited**
WorleyParsons formalized its contracting arrangement with PotashCorp in December 2016, to govern the terms of its relationship with PotashCorp and certain of its subsidiaries, including its Trinidad operations. On January 2, 2018, PotashCorp and Agrium merged to form a new entity – Nutrien. WorleyParsons and the Advisian Digital Team are pleased to be working at what is now Nutrien’s Trinidad site, and will soon complete its “Digital Maturity Assessment” in support of the site’s continuous improvement goals.
Wholehearted congratulations to the Advisian Digital team for these important wins. Keep up the great work!
